ALABAMA FIREFIGTHERS TRAINING FOUNDATION INC

EVENTS

ABOUT

The Alabama Firefighters Training Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We were founded by Anthony Rowett (Port City Fire Training), Joseph Petties, Enrique Bush, Todd Edwards (Fire Life Training), and Mickey farrell (Top Floor Tactics).

The mission of the Alabama Firefighters Training Foundation is to provide all fire personnel and fire departments in the state of Alabama with access to the best possible training, and training equipment, to ensure the safety of firefighters and the safety of the communities that they serve. We have 3 primary missions; mobile training unit that we make available to firefighters and fire departments within the State of Alabama, annual training events and conferences, and rural and volunteer trainings.

The organization has 3 programs:
1. Mobile Training Unit - Our Mobile Training Unit will be a fully equipped trailer with truck transport, that will contain all of the fire equipment necessary for any department in the State of Alabama to hold trainings at all levels. For a nominal fee and fuel, our staff will deliver the unit to the department, and will retrieve the unit once the training(s) have ended. Additionally, our staff consists of national fire training professionals, so we can also work with the department to help with their training goals.

2. Annual Fire Training and Conferences - Our Alabama regional and statewide conferences will make it possible for firefighters to have access to this same training, within their own areas. As with larger national conferences, our Alabama based events will have the same national training experts, and our registration fees will be nominal. These classes are open to all firefighters, not just firefighters in the State of Alabama. Certificates of completion will be issued by the Alabama Fire College.

3. Rural and Volunteer Training Events - The training events will be similar to the annual training events and conferences but smaller. These events will also many times be held on weeknights so that attendance is easier for volunteer firefighters since volunteer fire departments typically hold their regular training nights on week nights. These events will be offered at a nominal fee or free of charge. These classes are open to all firefighters, not just firefighters in the State of Alabama. Certificates of completion will be issued by the Alabama Fire College.
