Initial Actions in Large, Residential Structures

This class will explore the impact of large, residential structures on the decision making process of units arriving early to fires in these buildings. We will dive into what can and cannot be expected based on code requirements, tactical differences based on building type, and ultimately, how to better focus on life safety. It is imperative that we have a plan for action as communities, large and small, now see a greater number of these buildings in their jurisdiction.

JONATHAN BRUMLEY is a Lieutenant with the Denver Fire Department. He began his fire service career in 2009 and has served as a career and volunteer firefighter. Brumley has a BBA in finance as well as numerous fire service certifications. Jonathan has instructed in both lecture and hands-on formats at fire conferences nationally and has published works in several trade magazines.
